YOUTH EXPANSION PROJECT 2023

On June 4, 2023, the Community Baptist Church of The Woodlands broke ground for a new youth facility that will serve children and teens in our community. The facility will include space for additional Bible classes, a children’s worship and activity center, a teen center, an expanded adult worship center, additional parking, a new and improved outdoor play area and a state of the art preschool that will nearly double its current capacity.

            The church currently provides children and teen programs that include an AWANA program, youth sports activities, teen mentoring programs, youth discipleship, summer youth camps, and an early education program styled  “Community Kids Preschool.” Part of the church’s stated vision is  “…a dynamic youth program, a creative and exciting children’s ministry, and a clean, secure and safe nursery.” 

This expansion project is Phase 2 of a master plan to be built on the church’s current location at 8909 Cochran’s Crossing, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.  Brayton Construction of Conroe, will be the general contractor for this project with company representatives Barret Dyess, Matt Rey and Sean Kylie shown on the far left of the photo. Architectural design is by Lancaster+ Wyatt Architects of The Woodlands, structural engineering is by R-Mack engineering of Spring and civil engineering is by Quest Engineering of Conroe.  Dr. Dan Greer, pictured in the center of the photo, planted the church and serves there as Senior Pastor.
